After presents we went to the Barton Creek Spa and Resort for a breakfast buffet. Gabre loved the gingerbread pancakes. We took lost of picture, about 60, and just a few turned out. Gabre was not in the mood for family pictures. I would say her favorite part of Christmas was walking back and forth in this huge hallway at the hotel, as you can see from the Big smile on her face in the first picture. Overall Gabre had a Wonderful 1st Christmas with her Mommy and Daddy!

What fun! We can't wait to have a little one in the house again:)
Hey Leah...
Got your message on my blog.
My first camera was a Canon Rebel xti... and I just got that about 9 months ago but I had no idea how the photography bug would take off in me... I just upgraded to a Canon D50. My dad was a Canon man (he passed away about 8 years ago) and so I am a die hard canon fan. You can not go wrong with their products. LOVE THEM. You really can't go wrong with a Nikon either. I'd stick with one or the other (canon canon canon)... :-)
Happy picture taking!
I just love all of your pictures of sweet Gabre. Merry Christmas to you all.
I love your blog and the pictures. I ran across your blog through some others. BTW, I have a chocolate cocker spaniel. Beautiful pictures.

Hi Leah, Thanks for you comment on my blog. Mari was in Numan Orphan Center in the Rift Valley, about 3.5 hours south of Addis. She was there until she moved to my agency's transition home, so she did not make it to any of the orphanages in the city. You're little one is super-duper cute! I'm going to have to go back through and do some catching up on your story! Merry 1st Christmas to you guys!
Okay, back in your post from September 7th, Gabre is wearing an adorable plaid scarf/kerchief thing on her head. Where did you find this? I love it...I would be great for Mari's crazy hair days.
You guys look great! What a fun Christmas as a family!
Leah, she sure has grown! What a doll she is!!
Merry Christmas a bit late and a Happy New Year!
